ICC Cricket World Cup

Is it necessary to have IPL in 2019 as there is also ICC Cricket World Cup? Wouldn’t the players need rest? No ratings yet.

ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 is going to last of may and IPL 2019 is also going to start from last of March. Thus there has the various debate over player fitness is started. Indian player has a tight schedule in 2019. They have to play series in almost every month. Which is going to be tuff for players. Indian team currently playing a series in New Zealand and after 1 week they have to play against Australia but the main concern for the Indian team is IPL. As IPL starts from the 23rd March. IPL has a long schedule. Which is not good for player fitness because ICC Cricket World Cup is just after IPL 2019.

Indian team management wants to give rest to their bowlers. Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneswar Kumar are Key bowlers for their IPL team thus it not easy for them to give rest. They paid a huge amount. Jasprit plays for Mumbai Indians while Bhuvi for Sunrisers Hyderabad. Indian spin bowler also plays in IPL for their respective teams but it is not more issue for them. BCCI should have to give advisory to IPL teams for considering bowlers fitness. They have to play on only big matches because not only fitness injury is also a big concern. The Indian team will not afford a big injury to these players in a time of World Cup.

I think it same apply on Indian team main batsman. They have to also consider their fitness and injury issue. Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Shikhar Dhawan have to play some less match for their respective IPL team but i think it is good for indian middle order batsman to gain momentom in IPL before ICC Cricket World Cup.
